Henry Cavill Will No Longer Be DC Universe's Superman

Henry Cavill’s Future as Superman Is Cloudy, Warner Bros. Focusing on Supergirl

The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news of Cavill's exit.

Though Cavill's departure was widely reported, Warner Bros. wasn't confirming or denying any news about the franchise.

Gal Gadot portrayed the eponymous heroine in Wonder Woman, the fourth installment in the DC Universe.

It's not exactly a forthcoming response, but it's definitely something that's likely to catch the attention of Warner Bros. executives as they attempt to navigate the future of their superhero movie slate.

A spokesperson for Warner Bros. said, "We have a great relationship and great respect for Henry Cavill that continues to remain unchanged".

Russia kicks off largest-ever war games; China to take part
The Kremlin has also accused North Atlantic Treaty Organisation of expanding westwards and threatening Russian national security. Since then Moscow has increased the number of its large-scale military exercises in the Caucasus, the Baltic and the Arctic.

While a sequel solo movie for Superman has always been rumoured, THR's report suggests that a future Superman film would not enter production for "at least several years" while the studio focuses on Supergirl. The studio had reportedly been in talks with Cavill over a Superman cameo in Shazam!

It may be time for Henry Cavill to hang up the cape and comb back the spit-curl. This effectively removes an actor of Cavill's age from the storyline's equation given that Superman, aka Kal-El, would be an infant, according to DC lore.

While talking about the movie in his story update, Gonzalez also leaked some details regarding the Man of Steel's cameo scene in Shazam!

Cavill also recently was cast in the lead role for Netflix's The Witcher, which made his availability for cameo appearances more hard. Cavill has been in the role since 2013's Man of Steel and also appeared in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017's Justice League.

A studio source told THR that "Superman is like James Bond, and after a certain run you have to look at new actors". The Justice League star shared a Superman-themed video on his Instagram that is sure to leave his fans scratching their heads.
