New Call of Duty trailer shows off Fortnite-style 'Blackout' mode, zombies

Treyarch, the developer behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, has released a trailer to show off what we can expect from the new battle royale mode.

There's no specifics on player count, size of the map or weapons available.

As we previously reported, Blackout mode will support 80 players, launch with four vehicles which let you take to the land, air, and sea, and include risky hotspots where you can gun down zombies. Most will look familiar to longtime "Call of Duty" players, and the landmasses will be connected to make a massive map on which large-scale battles will break out on land and in the sea and air. We see plenty of over-the-top gunplay and vehicle combat, underwater action, zombies, and more. Players also get their first look at the slowly closing Nova gas circle that bounds the Blackout playable area, along with the hallucinations they will experience if they find themselves within it.

The trailer was released on Thursday, September 6 on the Call of Duty Twitter account with the tagline of 'Welcome to the Party. The beta will end on September 17.

US adds a strong 201K jobs; unemployment stays at 3.9 pct
That gauge includes part-time workers who'd prefer a full-time position and people who want a job but aren't actively looking. The Trump administration has imposed tariffs on imported steel and aluminum as well as on $50 billion of goods from China.

Starting Monday, September 10th, players can get their first hands-on experience with Blackout in the Blackout Private Beta, beginning first on PlayStation 4.

While progress won't carry over between the Blackout beta and launch, there is a chance that those who participate will unlock a special reward that can be used later.

Blackout will be released on October 12 as part of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
