Social media reacts to Zane Gonzalez missed field goals vs. Saints

NFL fans roasted Browns kicker Zane Gonzalez after his embarrassing game

Down by six points with just over a minute to play, Cleveland quarterback Tyrod Taylor connected with wide receiver Antonio Callaway for a 47-yard touchdown pass to tie the game.

But Zane Gonzales missed his second extra point of the game to keep it tied 18-18.

Not only did the Browns have a chance to send this game to overtime on a Gonzalez 52-yard field goal, but the kicker's awful day went far beyond that. Cleveland has now gone 631 days without a victory, with its last win coming on December 24, 2016.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon will miss Sunday's game in New Orleans with a hamstring injury. The Browns settled for Gonzalez's 39-yard field goal and a 6-3 advantage they would take into halftime. Cleveland was faced with a 4th-and-5 on the New Orleans 47.

Bud light coolers remain locked after Browns' Sunday loss to the Saints. Gonzalez hit a knuckleball wide left on the PAT keeping it a 12-3 Browns lead. For the game, they held the Saints to under 300 yards of offense and won the turnover battle. The score was set up by Thomas' fumble at the Saints' 46-yard line following an 8-yard reception.

The Saints then drove to the Browns' 15, but on third-and-7, Ogunjobi sacked Brees for an 11-yard loss. Brees finished 28 of 35 for 243 yards and two touchdowns, while Taylor completed 22 of 30 for 246 yards and a touchdown. As Kindred tackled receiver Ted Ginn Jr., Mitchell knocked the ball loose and recovered the fumble at the Saints' 46 with 10:39 left in the second quarter. On third-and-8 from the Saints' 22, the Browns called a screen pass to running back Duke Johnson, who was stopped for a 1-yard gain.

"We've got a lot to do to improve", Payton said.
