Black Ops 4’s day one update weighs in at 50GB

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 may support mods, Treyarch will look at adding support post-launch

You still won't be able to play Black Ops 4 until midnight on Thursday, October 11 but GAME will be selling it from 6pm the same day.

In a post to the Activision Support Page, Treyarch revealed that the patch is necessary to play Multiplayer, Zombies, and Specialist Headquarters on Xbox One and PS4. The Blackout battle royale game mode will apparently be fully playable once 16-20 GB of the install is completed.

The day one update package is roughly 50 GB.

However, if you purchase the game physically, you'll have to download a 50GB day one update to get the game working.

For an optimized download experience, players should have 112 GB of free hard drive space - note that this is not the size of the download, it is the amount of space required to complete the installation process.

Jose Mourinho Under Investigation For Post-Newcastle Comments
Pogba advised Mourinho on the team's tactics during the half time break leading to United's 3-2 win. I have discussed it with him, it does not really attract him.

The final installation footprint on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be approximately 55GB, we're told.

Though the Nuketown map for the multiplayer game mode won't be here until November, players do still have at least one other take on the Black Ops map to enjoy before the Russian one releases.

If you're buying the game digitally, then this news won't matter. "Download speeds may vary based on region, platform, connection type, and the speed of your internet connection".

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out this week, bringing the anticipated sequel's nearly entirely multiplayer shenanigans to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

As usual Call Of Duty is split up into three nearly entirely separate games: the standard multiplayer, co-op Zombies, and the new Blackout - which replaces the usual story campaign.
