Jon Favreau's Star Wars TV series titled The Mandalorian, synopsis released

Jon Favreau Officially Reveals Live-Action 'Star Wars' Series Title

The Mandalorians are a warrior people from the planet Mandalore who often clashed with knights of the Jedi order.

Jon Favreau has revealed details about his forthcoming live-action Star Wars series for Disney's streaming service. Favreau's new Instagram post contains even more new details, specifically that the show will follow a "lone gunfighter".

Though the most well known Mandalorians are Jango and Boba Fett, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series provided more insight into the Mandalorian culture.

Mitch McConnell Sets Friday Vote to Thwart Filibuster of Brett Kavanaugh
The Republicans needed to get the motion to limit debate before the end of the calendar day Wednesday to allow the Friday vote. Christian churches attended by 40 million people wants Brett Kavanaugh to withdraw his Supreme Court nomination.

For those not as familiar with the Star Wars universe, the synopsis confirms that the series is set somewhere in the 30 year gap between the end of the original trilogy, and the start of the now sequel trilogy.

The series, which doesn't yet have a premiere date, will air on Disney's upcoming streaming service that is expected to launch toward the end of 2019. The Star Wars wiki says that a huge Mandalorian War began in 3976 BBY (before the Battle of Yavin) and lasted for almost twenty years. Favreau revealed through his Instragram the series will be called The Mandalorian along with the official synopsis. To shill for his show, The Mandalorian, Favreau created a title card that resembles the Star Wars opening crawls: yellow lettering over a black screen (though sans stars, as it were...and in the wrong font). He has played roles in both "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Solo: A Star Wars Story".

Star Wars Rebels fans are probably hoping that the new character will somehow be related to Sabine Wren.
