Soyuz MS-08 with three-man crew on board separates from ISS

NASA denies hole on Space Station was confirmed to be deliberate

A trio of space station crew members returned to Earth on Wednesday.

An Indian astronaut may soon visit the International Space Station (ISS), informed a source in the Russian space industry.

In a concise explanation issued from its Washington headquarters, NASA stressed that Dimitri Rogozin, general chief of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, had out in the open comments this week ruled out a manufacturing defect as the reason. NASA astronauts Drew Füstel and Ricky Arnold and Oleg Artimyev of Roskosmos landed in the southeast of Kazak town of Kazakhstan at 11.45 pm on worldwide time.

The descent will occur at the truck Union MS-08 - the same, in the hull of a newly found hole.

Members of the global crew of a manned transportation spacecraft Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev, NASA astronauts Andrew Feustel and Richard Arnold have become the members of the 56 expedition.

The spacewalkers also replaced components of the space station's cooling system and communications network, and installed new wireless communication antennas for external experiments.

Feustel has now logged more than 226 days in space on three spaceflights, accumulated 61 hours and 48 minutes over nine career spacewalks, and ranks third overall among American astronauts.

The two Americans ventured outside the space station for three space walks to carry out maintenance during their 197-day stay at the orbiting lab. Artemyev conducted one spacewalk together with a fellow Russian. Gerst assumed command of the station as Feustel prepared to depart.

A Russian scientist who was to join the crew was pulled from the mission because the instruments he has been trained to use have been pushed back to a later date. The next expedition - Russia's Alexei Ovchinin and the United States' Nick Hague will leave Baikonur on board the Soyuz MS-10 for the ISS on October 11.
