Apple launches iPhone X touchscreen replacement program

The new Apple iPhone X are seen on display at the Apple Store in Manhattan New York

"Apple has determined that some iPhone X displays may experience touch issues due to a component that might fail on the display module", an Apple support document notes. There is no indication as to how many units are faulty, but Apple states that the screen "does not respond or responds intermittently to touch", or that the display reacts "even though it was not touched".

Apple on Friday quietly announced free service programs aimed at fixing endemic problems with two of its most high-profile and expensive devices, the iPhone X and the MacBook Pro.

The replacement program is only for the iPhone X and doesn't include the new iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR.

Next up is a problem that seems to affect a specific range of 13-inch MacBook Pros - those without the Touch Bar, sold between June 2017 and June 2018, with either 128GB or 256GB of internal SSD storage on board.

Last season, he was on target in both games against the Belarusian champion when he played for Arsenal in Europe's second tier competition.

If you believe your phone suffers from any touchscreen problems, you may bring it to Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for a free "display module".

Eligible devices will be serviced by Apple or Apple Authorized Service Providers for free.

Apple says a "limited number" of these laptops have "an issue that may result in data loss and failure of the drive".

Apple will update the firmware on the SSD, and all data on the drive will be wiped out - so be certain that you have a recent backup completed before you go through with the fix process. You can find out if your laptop is one of the one's affected by entering its serial number on Apple's website.
