A firm date for the televised draft has not yet been established, but January 30 or January 31 have emerged as two potential targets for a TNT broadcast, according to the people, who were not authorized to discuss the plans publicly.

James said immediately after the draft the process should have been televised. The league found a flawless new way to conduct the All-Star Game, yet still managed to screw up a big part of it.

After the inaugural draft, which took place on a private conference call, both James and Curry said they would like the event televised in 2019. It doesn't matter if you're first or last, you're 24 of the best in the world at that point in time. That pool of players is then drafted by the two captains. The NBA reached an agreement with the NBA Players Association to broadcast the 2019 All-Star draft, the New York Times' Marc Stein and Kevin Draper reported Wednesday. I think everybody wants to see it. "It's All-Star Weekend. You got 24 of the best players in the world that's going to make the team".

"It was great, me and Steph, we had a great time drafting on the phone just picking", James, now in the Western Conference having signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Lakers after having spent the last four seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, police officials told TNM that regular patrol officers who were posted in the area were on their regular beat movement. On Thursday night, Murugadoss had tweeted about the presence of police outside his house.

The game was indeed a little more competitive because of it, so they are going to try it again this year in Charlotte.

Still, expect King James to be the captain for the West with perhaps Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo being the captain of the East.

It's a draft for the NBA All-Star Game.
