Marsha Blackburn Wins Tennessee Senate Race

President Trump arrives for a

Laura Ingraham is rubbing it in Taylor Swift's face after the candidate the singer backed for the United States Senate lost his race in Tennessee.

And for the U.S. Senate, House member Marsha Blackburn, the Republican, has won her race against former governor and Democrat Phil Bredesen.

That's why President Trump, while campaigning for her in the state recently told the crowd that "a vote for Marsha is really a vote for me and everything that we stand for".

On Tuesday night, she was happy to claim a piece of Tennessee history for women in the Senate.

10-year-old girl allegedly murders baby
The Star Tribune is not identifying the girl because her case likely will be referred to juvenile court. The girl is now in the adult court system and appeared in Chippewa County Court on Monday morning.

It's not all bad for the newly political Taylor. she's backing another Dem, Rep. Jim Cooper, who is projected to win re-election. Bob Corker, a moderate Republican who opted to retire past year after repeated clashes with President Trump. "Tonight, what you saw was one who's going to be a fighter for those things and individual freedoms, and one that is going to support bigger government and big-government solutions". Bredesen's moderate stances, he predicted, would give these voters an easy excuse not to vote for her. She rarely diverged from Trump, and touted his proposed U.S. -Mexico border wall and tax cuts while blasting Bredesen's opposition to both.

'In the past I've been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now, ' she wrote.

It did not take long for Trump to respond to Ms Swift's Instagram post last month, saying the pop star "doesn't know anything" about Congresswoman Blackburn.

While his ability to legislate across - not only with Republicans in the Senate, but with President Trump, who remains popular in the state - was the crux of his pitch to voters, it wasn't enough.
