The maker of store brands of liquid infant ibuprofen is recalling the medication sold at Walmart, CVS and Family Dollar.

Tris Pharma said there is a "remote possibility" the increased amount of ibuprofen could lead to permanent kidney injury in infants. According to a release about the recall, Tris Pharma, Inc. has notified that customer and is arranging for the recalled product to be returned.

Family Dollar on 13th Ave in Fargo pulled the medicine off their shelves.

Infant ibuprofen sold at several national retailers has been recalled over concerns that it might contain a higher concentration of the pain reliever. And at Family Dollar, the recalled lot is 00717024A (expires 08/19).

CVS Pharmacy: The expiration date includes 08/19.

Consumers with questions can contact Tris Customer Service at 732-940-0358. Parents who believe their child may have ingested too much of the drug should call their physician or health care provider.

The products affected are sold under brand names, "Equate Infants' Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension", "CVS Health Infants' Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension", and "Family Wellness Infants' Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension".
