Michael Jordan Admonishes Malik Monk for Early Celebration, Slaps Guard on Head

At the end of last night's game against the Detroit Piston, Charlotte Bobcats rookie Malik Monk acted like a dope.

Understandably, Monk and his teammates were ecstatic on the sidelines, but the 20-year-old made the ill-advised decision to run on the court to celebrate when there was still time left on the game clock and the Pistons were attempting to inbound the ball.

Lamb knocked down a 22-foot jumper from the right wing with 0.3 seconds left, and then had to wait and see if it counted after the Hornets were assessed a technical foul for having too many players on the floor.

Understandably, Jordan was none too pleased with Monk and let him know about it by smacking him upside the head with a pair of dope slaps. The basket was upheld and the Hornets escaped with at 108-107 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night after trailing by 10 late in the fourth quarter.

US Farm Bill, Which Would Legalize Hemp, Heads to Trump's Desk
House and Senate lawmakers formed a conference committee to bridge the differences between their versions of the bill on July 18. The Farm Bill has passed in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, which is good news for Kentucky's hemp farmers.

There are no disciplinary actions expected from the league for Jordan's playful moment.

Biyombo, for one, does not believe the famously intense Jordan was really mad at Monk. "We won. I'm glad we got the 'W'".

Normally when basketball players make mistakes during a game, their punishment is to get benched, a fine, or maybe running a few extra sprints during practice.

'He was just as excited as us, ' he said, as quoted by Rod Boone of The Athletic. "I was watching the replay and you could see I was all the way out there (and) Malik was on the court". And if you're going to get smacked in the head to be taught a lesson, it may as well be by Michael Jordan.
