Alien: Blackout is a Mobile Game Featuring Isolation's Amanda Ripley

A New Alien Game Could Be On The Way Brodie Gibbons

It's set to release on January 24, 2019 for iOS and Android devices. Isolation, you'll need to "outsmart the flawless hunter by making perilous choices", shepherding the surviving crew to safety.

Alien: Isolation is finally getting a sequel, but it may not be the sequel you've been clamoring for since 2014.

And there you go, there's your new Alien game.

As for the game's place in the larger Alien franchise, the story of the mobile title will fit between the Alien and Aliens and will feature Amanda, the daughter of Ellen Ripley.

FoxNext Games' studio, Cold Iron Studios, is also now at work on a massively multiplayer online shooter set in the Alien cinematic universe for consoles and PC. Players must rely on the damaged controls of the space station to help guide Amanda and her crew out of harm's way through seven levels.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Review: Nearly As Fast As GTX 1080
The RTX 2060 will be available worldwide starting on January 15 in computers built by Acer, Alienware, Dell , Lenovo, and more . Those who buy a GeForce RTX 2070 or RTX 2060 laptop can receive one of those two titles in a bundle instead.

20th Century Fox is also said to be partnering with a "wide range of storytellers and innovators for more entries of Amanda Ripley's story that will be announced later this month".

We don't yet know when it will be released, how much it will initially cost, or whether there will be any form of loot boxes or micro-transactions included in the game, but we are able to glean some information based on the trailer and screenshots. The uncertainty and unpredictability of both the alien and her crew can impose total defeat for Amanda and the entire station.

Now, we 're not averse to mobile games over here at VG247. According to the game's official website, players will strategically protect crewmembers from a hungry (or just angry) xenomorph "using only the space station's limited power supply to operate a holographic map, surveillance cameras, and motion tracker".

Every decision can lead to a different conclusion. "Players can test different strategies and theories to outlast the Xenomorph in pursuit of victory!" But for more hardcore fans, the real nightmare is what this game actually is compared to what they thought it might be.
