Alleged Nokia 8.1 Plus renders reveal display hole and dual cameras

Nokia 8.1 Plus with hole-in-display design and dual-camera setup leaks

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, the new Nokia 8.1 was first released in China as the Nokia X7 before making its global debut last month.

Theres a regular fingerprint reader on the back too, solidifying the position of the Nokia 8-series as a premium mid-ranger. The leak comes courtesy of 91Mobiles and OnLeaks, which have taken a CAD file and turned it into a render.

I spy: a top headphone jack and a bottom USB-C port.

The Nokia 8.1 was already a bit of a disappointment – name aside, its really a 7.1 Plus.

Bolton: We’re not withdrawing from Syria until Turkey guarantees YPG safety
Trump initially said it would be immediate, which alarmed his advisors and drove Secretary of Defense James N. He also criticised ex-President Barack Obama's Middle East policy, saying he had made "dire misjudgements".

The renders, along with an accompanying 360-degree video, show a smartphone with minimal bezels and a tiny hole-punch cutout at the top left of its display which holds a selfie camera. Notch designs would cut out a big chunk of the display for camera placement, but most of those cutouts were bigger than they needed to be (probably because manufacturers wanted to copy the sensor-packed iPhone X design). The front camera is placed under the display, and just enough pixels are punched out to remove any camera obstructions.

Nokia 8 Sirocco users using Android 9 Pie will enjoy improvements to their smartphone experience based on their daily phone use. Since the phone largely looks like the Nokia 8.1, the report claims that the leaked device is the upcoming Nokia 8.1 Plus.

Best Nokia phones - what are your options? We will likely see this trend continue for another year or two, but most companies will be moving onto a different method of reducing the forehead bezel of smartphones.
