Conor McGregor Tweets Desire for MMA Exhibition With Tenshin Nasukawa

Nasukawa Mc Gregor and Mayweather

Love him or hate him, Conor McGregor sure knows how to keep his name in the headlines.

It's been a week since Nasukawa was stopped in the first round by Mayweather in a freaky exhibition boxing bout in Japan, with the two minutes of action sparking plenty of debate about the legitimacy of the contest which earned Mayweather a cool $9 million.

Mayweather earned a reported $9 million for his trip to Japan and now Irish superstar McGregor has tweeted out that he is interested in his own exhibition fight as well.

Imploring the UFC and his management company Paradigm Sports to arrange a meeting, McGregor wrote on Twitter: "I wish to go to Tokyo to face Tenshin Nasukawa in a Mixed Martial Arts exhibition bout".

United States government shutdown: Trump to make border wall speech
US President Donald Trump is set to argue that an immigration "crisis" requires his long-promised wall along the Mexican border. Critics say the security risks are overblown and the administration is at least partly to blame for the humanitarian situation.

Nurmagomedov dominated the fight right from the beginning and eventually made McGregor tap out to a fourth-round neck-crank submission, leading to the Irishman's second defeat in the UFC; his first being against Nate Diaz at UFC 196.

Mayweather made easy work of Tenshin Nasukawa, knocking him down several times before the ref steps in to stop the fight. "Yours sincerely The champ champ", he Tweeted.

The Irishman would also struggle to make Nasukawa's proposed 58kg weight limit - McGregor fights at lightweight, or 66kg, in UFC, having previously fought at 61kg in the featherweight division.

Earlier this month UFC President Dana White spoke a potential rematch between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, depending on the verdict of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. But we will have to wait and see what the future holds for "The Notorious One" in the Octagon.
