José Mourinho breaks cover to rule himself out of Benfica managerial role

Reports coming coming out of the tactician's camp revealed on Wednesday night that: "There are no issues over Jose's contract with Manchester United".

Jose Mourinho might have had a pretty miserable end to his 2018 but he could soon be back in charge of one of the biggest clubs in the world if rumours are to be believed.

And Mourinho admits it is an honour for him to be linked with a shock return to the Spanish capital in the future.

It hasn't even been a month since Jose Mourinho was sacked at Manchester United, yet the Portuguese is already being linked with a return to management at the top level.

The improved contract United agreed with Mourinho a year ago was due to run until the end of the 2019-20 season, with an option of a further season.

Mail Online report that Mourinho is free to take another job after his compensation package of £15m was paid to him by United immediately following his dismissal.

"Jose is able to take on another job right now, but is in no rush".

7 people have died in national parks during shutdown; that's not unusual
The agency said previously that it would seek to keep parks "as accessible as possible" during the funding lapse. Parks supporters called the administration's move misguided. "Draining accounts dry is not the answer".

The 55-year-old was dismissed on December 18 after two-and-a-half seasons in charge.

Interestingly for a man who operates on something of a scorched earth policy when things are going badly for him in a job, the Portuguese manager has been nearly exclusively linked with clubs that he has already managed.

According to the publication, Real boss Florentino Perez remains a huge fan and the Champions League holders will do all they can to land the manager.

"It's a tremendous honour when you return to a club where you've been, but I'm talking to you and I will not talk to anyone else".

The source added that Real Madrid approached Mourinho following the sacking of former boss Julen Lopetegui in October.

"I do not like feeding news stories, but I have no intention of working in Portugal", he said to Correio da Manha on Thursday.

It will be interesting to hear the Portuguese's opinions on that match, but everyone will be tuning in to find out what he has to say about his final few months at Manchester United.
