Long-running drama series Criminal Minds to end after 15 seasons

The crime series, which is show-run by executive producer Erica Messer, follows an elite team of Federal Bureau of Investigation profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, attempting to anticipate their next moves before they strike again.

Messer, who has worked on the series since Season 1, revealed that her vision of how to end the series has changed over the years.

The beloved series' official Twitter account confirmed the news that its upcoming 15th season will be its last with an "epic final season" promised to viewers. One of television's longest-running procedurals was renewed for a 15th season and final season, which will be 10 episodes long.
